The Kondo lattice model from strong-coupling viewpoint
We study the magnetic excitation spectrum of the two-dimensional (2D) squarelattice S=1/2 Kondo lattice model at finite (hole) doping, by representing the Hamiltonian in terms of a set of local excitations. The location of the paramagneticantiferromagnetic phase boundary at T=0 is determined.
متن کامل0 Strong Coupling Approach to the Supersymmetric Kondo Model
We carry out the strong coupling expansion for the SU (N) Kondo model where the impurity spin is represented by a L-shaped Young tableau. Using second order perturbation theory around the strong coupling fixed point it is shown that when the antisymmetric component of the Young-tableau contains more than N/2 entries, the strong-coupling fixed point becomes unstable to a two-stage Kondo effect. ...

متن کاملCrossover from Weak- to Strong-Coupling Superconductivity and to Normal State with Pseudogap
For an electron gas with a δ-function attraction we investigate the crossover from weak-coupling to strong-coupling superconductivity near zero temperature as well as near the temperature T , at which the strong coupling produces a pseudogap in the energy spectrum due to the binding of electron pairs. We present curves for the behavior of the superconductive transition temperature, the gap form...
متن کاملFlow Equation Solution for the Weak- to Strong-Coupling Crossover in the Sine-Gordon Model
A continuous sequence of infinitesimal unitary transformations, combined with an operator product expansion for vertex operators, is used to diagonalize the quantum sine-Gordon model for b2 [ 2p,` . The leading order of this approximation already gives very accurate results for the singleparticle gap in the strong-coupling phase. This approach can be understood as an extension of perturbative s...
